Welcome to FriendlyPhotography!
This is a club for photographers who feel either they are not living up to their potential and want some help, or just want a friendly environment to share their artwork. We also hold weekly contests.

General Rules
Please keep the swearing to a minimum
When you join, please put either the club icon or stamp in your journal. To put the icon, type : iconfriendlyphotography : without the spaces. To put the club stamp in your journal, put :thumb63038332:
Do not flame other people or insult their work
Do not steal other people's work and submit it as your own.
Have fun!

Joining
If you wish to join the club, please send a note to ~FriendlyPhotography will the subject "Join" saying you would like to join the club.
In addition to a note, please add the club to your watch list.

Contests
Every week, FriendlyPhotography holds a contest.
For every contest, there will be a different theme. You will submit your entry according to the theme of the week.
You do not have to submit an entry every week. If you don't like a certain week's theme, you don't have to take part in the contest. ^_^
You may only enter 2 entries per contest.
To submit an entry, please send a note to ~FriendlyPhotography with the subject line "Contest Submission"
In the note, please include links to the deviations you wish to submit.
The entry you submit does not have to be a new deviation. It could be years old, as long as it fits the theme, it is allowed.
When the contest is over, we will post a news article with the contest entries, and how to vote. Also included in the news article, will be other deviants' photography that we feel fits the theme of the week, and is inspiring.
At the end of the week, you, the members of FriendlyPhotography will vote for your favorite entry by submitting a note. The subject should say "Vote: *Theme of the week goes here*" and should be set up something
like this:

"1st: Entry 8
2nd: Entry 2
3rd: Entry 5"

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd refer to what position you think that that entry should win. If possible, please put the Title of the entry, and not just the number. This is much more convenient.
Please vote fairly, which in this case means: Don't vote for yourself If we find someone votes for themself, they will be disqualified from that weeks contest.
Note: The administrators of FriendlyPhotography will also contribute their votes to the contest, and they may submit entries if they wish.
Prize: The winner of each contest will have their winning piece submitted to our gallery, and a feature in our journal for that week. Sorry, we are not rich enough to give away subscriptions. However, if someone were nice enough to donate some to the winners occasionally, that would be fantastic. [You can also donate one to the club if you wish *wink*]

Featured Member
Every month, we will pick a member who we feel stands out from the crowd. This member will have to be very active in the club, and they will have shown great growth in artistic ability over their stay here.
This member will be featured in our journal for a month and will get other special prizes such as a customized stamp and avatar if they wish.
